Should we be worried about these comments?

I posted my latest blog entry on 12th July and on the night of 27th July somebody posted the following Anonymous Comment:

I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar comment left on their blog?

I occasionally get spam comments directing the reader to various commercial sites, when this happens I send a Report Abuse notification to Google, mark the comment as Spam and Delete the Comment from the post.

In this instance there is no profile attached to Anonymous so I have no URL to report the abuse to Google and have simply deleted it.

I believe the Comment to have been generated by some sort of bot, or perhaps a malicious keyboard warrior, I sincerely hope that is the case and not a cry for help from some poor disturbed soul.  Either way I have taken what action I can to deal with it and am not disturbed by it, but wanted to flag this for the benefit of other bloggers who may be similarly targeted.  I will shortly take this post down as I don't believe in giving these people the oxygen.

    I think there have been a couple of other bloggers that were getting spammed by this and I really do think it's just spam Brian.

    World...there are an awful
    Lot of nutters out there.

    Nothing like that on my blogs. Understandably worrying but almost certainly a bot/rogue AI/deranged person.

    Yep... ive had that one as well. I suspect it's a bot but I did also pick up a stalker after I made some vaguely positive comments about the trans/non-binary community over a year ago. At one stage I was getting half a dozen deranged comments a day from an anonymous poster and had to turn on Moderation
